Mark A. Besbekos

A partner in the firm formally began his legal career in January 1985 once he graduated from the John Marshall Law School. Shortly thereafter, he was hired as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Cook County, Illinois. Mark remained as an assistant state’s attorney in Cook County until 1997.

As a state’s attorney, Mark worked under Richard J. Daley, Cecil Partee, Jack O’Malley and Dick Devine. Mark as an assistant state’s attorney successfully prosecuted hundreds of felony offenses, alcohol related offenses, drug offenses and sex crimes all during his tenure at the county court’s office. 


As a partner with the firm Mark successfully flipped his practice style from prosecuting to defending. He has now successfully won in court decisions hundreds of driving under the influence charges along with numerous felony and misdemeanor offenses as well. Mark does not solely concentrate his practice in driving under the influence cases however, it is a large portion of career and case load.
